Another suggestion from the Father-In-Law. The comedic timing of this strip proved to be quite difficult. I spent a lot of time struggling to draw the fountain's water and stay true to the statue's naturalistic proportions.
I didn't intend for this comic to be published on Thanksgiving weekend and realize that Thanksgiving is about the Pilgrim's first harvest; not Columbus. I actually finished the strip a few months ago, but failed to post it. It is a bit more low brow than some of the others.
On a side note ... whenever I've shown people this strip, their response usually is "Richmond has a Christopher Columbus statue?"
