This is the first of a continuous story about zombies invading the Richmond City. Don't worry, anthropomorphized monuments are soon to come.
The origin of these zombies, is an homage to Anda Lewis Corrie's discussions of producing a film with confederate soldier zombies on her birthday several years ago. Lightening striking the pyramid is all her.
I am pushing my artistic boundaries a little with this new direction. I'm not used to drawing without direct references. It's going to force me to be a little looser and inventive with my drawing. I am also exploring light & shadow with this strip, but more in the realm of defining the objects and figures than being completely accurate.
